How much can you earn from an AlphaESS battery?
We pay £1/kWh for every unit your AlphaESS battery exports during a grid event, and at least £10 a month even when the grid is quiet.
Events depend on grid conditions in your area, so earnings vary month to month. Payments stack on top of any export tariff you already have.

Is your AlphaESS system compatible with Axle?
Axle works with every AlphaESS home battery that's online in AlphaCloud, from the current SMILE-G3 range back to the SMILE5 and SMILE-B3. You connect by signing in to AlphaCloud during sign-up, with nothing to install.
Compatible AlphaESS inverters include
- SMILE-G3 single-phase: SMILE-G3-S3.6, S5 and the 8 kW S8, plus the AC-coupled G3-B5
- SMILE-G3 three-phase: SMILE-G3-T10 and T20

How to connect your AlphaESS battery to Axle

Create your Axle account
Sign up with your email address or Google.

Upload a recent electricity bill
We read your address and tariff from it and check that your smart meter can be read. Works with any UK energy supplier and tariff.

Select AlphaESS and connect
Sign in to AlphaCloud and allow Axle to read your battery's metrics and control it during grid events.

Your AlphaESS battery is part of the Axle VPP
We email you the day before your first grid event. Your battery exports during it, and the earnings land in your Axle balance a few days later, ready to withdraw whenever you like.
